Suika

Suika

Suika is the round and cheerful chief of the Foodage Tribe, a woodland people who dwell deep within the Peelwood Between. Shaped much like a ripe honey melon, Suika wears his appearance with pride, believing it reflects the tribe’s sacred bond with the land. The Foodage Tribe survives entirely from the forest’s bounty — fruits, roots, herbs, and wild crops carefully cultivated in hidden groves. To them, food is more than nourishment; it is identity. Their motto, “A body grows to the shape of what feeds it,” is quite literal, as generations of living in harmony with nature have slowly shaped the tribe into forms resembling the foods they cherish most.

What does the Foodage Motto mean?

The saying "A body grows to the shape of what feeds it’ reflects both their philosophy and their appearance. Over generations, members of the tribe slowly begin to resemble the foods most important to their families and livelihoods.

Is Suika a warrior chief?

Not in the traditional sense. Suika prefers diplomacy, celebration, and sharing over violence. However, when the forest or his people are threatened, he becomes surprisingly fierce and protective. His over all value is Harmony — between his followers, nature, and the forest itself. He believes a healthy land creates healthy people, and that greed is the root of most suffering.
